Mother Nature's Furious Beauty

The horrendous fires that have erupted during this momentous year of 2020 remind me of the Britania Fire that erupted during summer of 2018. I watched the brilliant sunsets, created by the hazy effects of that fire's smoke just outside my home on my front porch. I took numerous photographs to preserve the memory of these dramatic fiery images, which I eventually used in my creation of my video called Firestorm: Britania Fire, which displays Mother Nature's furious beauty. Although I am appalled by the destructive aspect of forest fires, I am also somehow fascinated by them, perhaps because they tend to create such magnificent sunsets. Such is the dual nature of life and death. Out of ashes comes beauty, as the Bible reminds us.
