Christmas Bell

I recently finished this 5" X 7" acrylic painting during a Senior Center activity in Wheatland, Wyoming, where I have lived since 2000. I decided to emphasize the vivid colors and familiar shapes that are often associated with the Christmas season. My impression-istic style captures the nostalgic mood of this special holiday. I added the sparkle effect using a digital tool on LunaPic, a free online photo editor. It creates a sense of childlike wonder in my picture, which reminds me that I am not too old to become captivated once again with the true meaning of Christmas. It is my hope that my readers and viewers will also renew their faith in their own spiritual renewal through God's grace.
