A Special Place

I have often found a special place that provides me with a refuge from the stresses of my life. Ayers Natural Bridge is a unique wilderness area that provides rest and relaxation. During the past two years, I have stopped there several times on my way back from visiting my daughter Sarah and my grandchildren, who live in Casper, Wyoming. There is a winding dirt pathway of steps leading up to the natural bridge that offers a spectacular view of the awesome rock formations on the ridges surrounding this beautiful recreational area. It is a place of solitude, where few people venture to explore, where I can breathe a sigh of relief that, at least for that moment, I have escaped the confines of civilization. Perhaps I go there to renew my body, mind, and spirit, so that I can catch a glimpse of God's grace in my ordinary circumstances.
