 about

Hello.  My name is Kathy A. Wittman.  I am a retired college teacher.  In the past, I taught classes in Education, English, and Psychology.  I completed an Associate degree in Art at Laramie County Community College in 2019.  I also completed a Bachelor degree in Art from the University of Wyoming in 2020.  Kaleidoscopic Visions is a family business that offers a varied selection of my works.  This website includes examples of my drawings, paintings, and photographs. The following quotes by famous artists and writers reflect my philosophy about art and literature:

"The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life."

~William Faulkner

"Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen."

~Leonardo da Vinci

"I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way — things I had no words for."

~Georgia O'Keeffe

"Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep."

~Scott Adams
